Well, let’s see. You’ve got a toy elf on your shelf. And there are young children in the house. A bunch of deputies come into your house and grab the elf.
This program is supposed to teach children how law enforcement works. More likely it will just confuse and scare them.
So, yeah. It’s a very stupid idea.
And meanwhile if you have some drugs out, or something unsafe for children or (gasp!) an illegal squirrel or raccoon you can be arrested. You did invite them in so no need for a warrant. Maybe the canine unit needs to be involved in arresting the elf.
