The phrase “Judeo-Christian” has been around since the 1930s but US President Donald Trump recently resurrected it in a deeply problematic speech on October 13, 2017 in which he said: “We are stopping cold the attacks on Judeo-Christian values … We’re saying ‘Merry Christmas’ again.”

It might seem neighbourly, even pluralistic, to include Judaism in a declaration of purported Western values. But in reality this isn’t how the term has functioned, either historically or more recently. Instead, the phrase is used to exclude rather than include. Despite implying that Jews are part of this resurrection of Judeo-Christian values, Trump in no way intends a campaign to Make Hanukkah Great Again. His “Judeo-Christian values” are about protecting Christmas, and about protecting Christians – at the exclusion of others.

Christian-majority nations such as the UK and US often lay claim to laws and ethics based on “Judeo-Christian values”. But it is important to remember that Jews have been systematically excluded from and terrorised by states that claim this Judeo-Christian foundation.

It was Paul and his desiples that spread the gospel of “believe in the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ”. The 12 disciples that Jesus taught stayed in Jerusalem. After the Jews rejected Jesus and killed Stephen, God called Paul on the Damascus road and sent him to be “the apostle to the Gentiles”, Romans 11:13-14. The 12 apostles that Jesus taught had a different message as they believed Jesus to be the Messiah and wanted the kingdom to be set up on earth. When the Jews rejected that message it was delayed and the gospel of grace was brought in. The church will be raptured. The Jews will still get their king after the tribulation. Then Jesus will return and set up the Millinium 1000 reign in Jerusalem.

Judeo Christian values have been around since the reformation. They saw that if all were equal before god, then slavery was an abomination. Ending slavery, what a dog whistle concept.

Marxist BS. The UK has a history of antisemitism. It is where the “Blood Libel” originated. Jews were massacred and expelled for hundreds of years. The same is not true for the US. The term “Judeo-Christian” was created to include Jews.

On the contrary, Salvation is from the Jews. We received the Law from the Jews. There is no Christianity without the Jews. The Jews are God's chosen people and we don't get to Heaven without being adopted by Jacob (renamed Israel)(Gen 48). You cannot understand the Bible without knowing the Jewish customs and culture. The Bible was written by Jews to the Jews by Jewish prophets. Jesus is a Jew and His Apostles were Jews. Jesus lived as a Jew, followed all the Jewish Feasts and worshiped on the Jewish Sabbath. Jesus died as the King of the Jews and is now in Heaven as the Lion of Judah. There is no inheritance of Heaven without being adopted into spiritual Israel through the blessing of the cross as in Gen 48. All covenants were made with the Jews and Gentiles cannot take part in a covenant without joining Jacob in adoption. There are no covenants made with Gentiles without going through this adoption into Israel(Jacob).

If you have been adopted into God's family, then Jews are literally your brothers.
