2.7 grams of combined EPA/DHA Omega-3 fats broke the ability for LDL to trigger fat inflammation, over 12 weeks. It also helped the insulin response.
Basic fish oil capsules have 300 mg of these combined fats, so you would need to eat the right fish or supplement with higher concentrations.

1. 2,700 mg combined EPA/DHA Omega-3 fats broke the ability for LDL to trigger fat inflammation
2. Basic fish oil capsules have 300 mg of these combined fats
I take Antarctic Krill Oil daily from Amazon / Vivanaturals. One serving (2 capsules) contains 165 mg EPA + 90 mg DHA = 255 mg combined. I'm WAY below that 2,700 target.
Note the "% Daily Value" numbers. If I upped my Krill Oil intake by 10.6X, I'd be ingesting 20% of my daily fat allowance and 50% of daily cholesterol allowance.

Some years back, studies came out claiming omega-3 fish oil supplements may increase, not reduce, the risk of first-time stroke and atrial fibrillation among people in good cardiovascular health.
Today, this is so much contrary information regarding supplements and other things, it's difficult to discern what's true.

I take about 2 grams of fish oil. I used to take 4 grams until I read reports that the higher doses might cause affib. So I lowered my dose to 500 mg. In the last month I raised the dose to the current 2 grams because, it does a better job of balancing my moods.
I have some inflammation issues in my shoulders that cause me pain.
Did you experiment with higher and lower doses of fish oil before you arrived at 2.7 grams

"33 volunteers completed a 12-week intervention with omega-3 supplementation providing 2.7 g of EPA and DHA in fish-oil per day. Was this a combined 2.7 g of EPA and DHA or 2.7 g of EPA and 2.7 g of DHA? It spells poor writing on the crucial information on dose.

I haven’t looked back to see if my memory is failing me on this point or not, but I think you may have shared a recent report that fish oil capsules may not be good for those who are concerned about prostrate cancer. Is that right?
