IMO something went wrong after they went color. I can’t really explain it but I lost interest in the series after that. Same thing happened with the Andy Griffith Show. Most people agree that show Jumped The Shark from the time it went to color.

THE ANDY GRIFFITH SHOW also lost Don Knotts the year they switched to color. That’s the bigger reason for the decline in quality.
