Not Lawfare. Justice.
Declassified with Julie Kelly ^ | 30 Nov, 2024 | Julie Kelly

The estimated half a billion tax dollars spent by the DOJ over the past four years to pursue Donald Trump and his supporters demands accountability. And consequences.

After enduring nearly a decade of torment at the hands of hyperpartisan, unaccountable prosecutors and judges, President-elect Donald Trump appears poised to make good on his promise to hold government officials responsible for destroying public trust in the country’s once-revered legal and judicial system. Trump repeatedly pledged on the campaign trail that he would seek payback for the costly pursuits of his family, his businesses, his closest aides, and his supporters if elected president.

But ever since Trump’s decisive victory, many anti-Trump pundits who either endorsed or turned a blind eye to the vengeful weaponization of Joe Biden’s Department of Justice now are predictably demanding a “lawfare” ceasefire on the baseless assumption that the American people want to move on.

Fox News and National Review legal analyst Andrew McCarthy just posted a myopic column tsk-tsking plans to investigate wrongdoing not only related to the criminal cases against the incoming president but by members of the January 6 select committee and the Department of Justice’s ongoing prosecution of January 6 protesters. “Winning was his retribution,” McCarthy declared. “Against the odds and thanks to the Supreme Court, he was able to make an effective electoral case against lawfare because, at a gut level, Americans reject the rigged, punitive exploitation of law enforcement. Neither the public nor the courts are going to tolerate retributive lawfare.”

McCarthy was particularly offended at comments made by Steve Bannon during his November 26 “War Room” show. (I was a guest that day to discuss Special Counsel Jack Smith’s request to dismiss the January 6 case in Washington.) Bannon, who was imprisoned this year by the Biden DOJ for defying a subpoena from the illicit J6 committee, again warned that judges, prosecutors, and others would face investigation for “destroying lives.”...SNIP

These people should be investigated, charged and prosecuted. Then their assets should be seized to recover the wasted tax funds spent on sedition. I don’t care what Andy McCarthy says. Maybe investigate him too.

They’ve been destroying evidence ever since Trump began to seem like a viable candidate for re-election over a year ago, first in the January 6 show trials.

This alone is worth a few decades in prison. A LOT of people suffered by their corruption.

“These people should be investigated, charged and prosecuted.”

Amendment VI says they would have to be prosecuted where their crimes were committed - DC and NYC. They would not get convicted.

The J6ers that were excessively punished need to be compensated - say $200/day of persecution + $600/day of excessive incarceration + 200% of legal fees + 200% of lost income + 200% of other losses by act of Congress.

Without legal consequences for lawfare, how else will lawfare end?

There are foreign enemies. There are domestic enemies. Innocent individuals lost everything to criminals inside the government. Some were murdered. Some committed suicide. Compassion for the guilty is treason to the innocent.

I would love to get footage of the "civilian" who came up to me and tried to persuade me to halt the progress of a responding police squad by force.
The later face to face meeting with that squad, with me with my arms raised over my head and a tall, young black cop with intense fear in his eyes, is something I will never forget.
If I held the squad up I did so with passivity, not force. I guess they were told to expect a fight getting to their eventual destination.

“Amendment VI says they would have to be prosecuted where their crimes were committed - DC and NYC. They would not get convicted.”

They are government employees, who committed Sedition, and potentially helped adversarial governments against the people of the United States. They were members of the Executive Branch, and not ‘civilian’. Therefore, I think a good case could be made that they be tried by the military, overseen by the SCOTUS, which means GITMO. They should not be given civilian courts, especially those who had TS access.

Most members of the “executive branch” are civilians! Where do you get the idea they’re not?

The corrupt, Leftist judges allowed and enjoyed this. They should be on the top of the list for immediate REMOVAL and prosecution. Without a reckoning, this corruption will NEVER end.

If America had an unbiased judiciary, this crap would NEVER have been allowed to take place. A criminal judge is the WORST kind of criminal.

When you are employed by Government, and you abuse that power, you should not be treated as a civilian. Many, Many of these agencies use military assets and force for their agenda’s, as an interconnected monster. I don’t see them as independent of the Military anymore. Further, the threat to use the military against the people by Joe Biden, the deep state, and the Government was clear “We have F-15’s and Nuclear weapons, what good is an AR-15”. That ended the portions of the Executive Branch that are ‘Civilians’, erased any doubt in my mind about intent or consequences. Since the agencies, employed by the people, have committed crimes against the people. Simultaneously, the leader gave open threats of using military force against the people, let them be judged by those that they would send to compel the people by force.

I think that argument works for me, and for most Americans, especially for those employees with TS access. These actions that they committed cannot stand, or there absolutely will not be a Republic. They should get fair trials, they should have representation, but they acted against the People and threatened it with the Military, they MUST see Justice.

“Predictably” should be in all caps.

Our side seems so devoted to being the nice guys who finish last.

Exactly! The precedent this would set, if unaddressed, would lead to endless lawfare wherein only the rich could afford to defend themselves as well as constant propaganda from the government in power against it’s adversaries and their supporters.

Wow, that’s one of the first things you’ve written that we’re in agreement on.

It just needs one more step.

Tax Free

I'd be fine with that, but IF AND ONLY IF the politicians, judges, and prosecutors responsible were completely bankrupted to pay for it. Otherwise, they really suffer no consequences for their actions, and we the taxpayers would be paying the penalty for their crimes/incompetence/vindictiveness.
