The “good people” according to Stephen King:

An agnostic
A drug addict
A woman pregnant out of wedlock
etc.

No actual religious people. In King’s books the religious people are usually nutcases, as are gun owners. In his books there are very few in those two groups who are normal people.

The book had the old woman as very, very religious.

The one positive portrayal of a Christian I saw from King was Mother Abigail.

Mother Abigail was religious, and she was the focus for almost the entire book. The drug addict reformed, the deaf guy and Tom had deep beliefs, but they couldn’t put a finger on it.

M O O N, and that spells Jesus.
