If anyone says that the Judeo-Christian tradition had nothing to do with the founding of America, they need look no further than our annual holiday of Thanksgiving. As in, giving thanks to God for His help to us.
Columnist Mark Steyn (originally from Canada) notes: “Speaking as a misfit unassimilated foreigner, I think of Thanksgiving as the most American of holidays.”
While we tend to associate Thanksgiving with the Pilgrims in Massachusetts, Virginia likes to remind the world that it was in their commonwealth that the first Thanksgiving was held.

I wonder if the first blog pimp was an Indian or a pilgrim?
An unchristian and uncharitable accusation.
I hate the way CNN, Sat. Night Live and the rest of those far left, America-hating scumbags are using Thanksgiving this year to appear as though they are Americans. I guess they found taking over all other institutions didn’t work after what happened on November 5th. They are a pitiful bunch of maggots.
I think excerpting your own blog is a great idea! I bet he gives his guests a tiny plate of food and then tells them to go next door for the rest. Brilliant!
How do you know that it is his blog? Excerpting is normal, in part because formatting and graphics are often more appealing in the original than in the 1990’s era format on FR. If you have any reason to suspect that he is blog pimping report abuse, if you have not already.
Relax, man. Just go to his FR home page and look. Now go have some turkey and cranberry sauce. Be sure to excerpt your dessert.
I’ve been reading the New American Project for ten years or so. They have some really great articles and as far as I can recall, their perspectives are mainly from a Christian and conservative viewpoint. I’ve had them bookmarked so I can check out their latest articles at least once a week.
There are many such sites available and rather than see them as “blog pimps”, I see them as sources for perspectives on current events that I may have not yet thought of on those issues. If we limit ourselves to just the usual half dozen “approved conservative” sources, there is so much information we may miss.
