Former Sen. Bob Menendez (D-N.J.) has asked a federal judge to throw out his corruption conviction and grant a new trial after it was revealed that jurors were accidentally shown improper evidence while deliberating.
Menendez’s attorney Adam Fee wrote in court filings that the “serious breach” makes a new trial “unavoidable.”
“Without doubting that the error was unintentional, the responsibility for it lies exclusively with the government, and the government must accept its consequences,” Fee wrote.

Brother. I was reading the whole thing, completely confused why the Menendez brothers were involved in military aid to Egypt. I mean isn’t their trial happening just about now?

I always appreciate how dems are always victims and reps are guilty AF for doing things like not showing up for bogus subpoenas, paying a bank loan back in full, or allowing your lawyer to do lawyer stuff. I’m sure Menendez will skip free and be elected to governorship.
I was also confused...thinking of the guys who killed their parents.
Yes, they have been appealing these days - looking for early release.
