What’s hard to believe about your suspicion?

The Marxists on the left think exactly as you say. They are deeply invested in (and indebted to) their college-educated self images. Their belief is that flyover country is chock full of uneducated white supremacist Bible-thumping missing-tooth hayseeds, and you do not have to go to DU to find this sentiment. It’s widespread, and of course it has been drilled into their heads by the inane yet relentless campaign themes promulgated by Harris and virtually all Dems.

I’ve many times theorized that the Clintons perfected a structure of such large-scale grift that the vast majority of those who have migrated to DC since the 90’s are indeed there for self-aggrandizement and self-enrichment. They think “wow, if I can only get 2% as good as the Clintons were at grifting, I can still walk out of this place with several $million and still hold my head high as a member of even a subset of the cocktail set there.” I’m certainly not saying the Clintons invested corruption, but they really perfected it to the $10 millions level.

The dichotomy surely exists, where politicians and their lieutenants and even corporals and privates believe they are “serving the people” and their closeness to apparent power is gratifying, in their self-professed elite way. All politicians are routinely lauded for their “years of public service”. Ehhh? You mean they weren’t paid handsomely while they were in office?

All these college educated elites, they have in many cases enormous investments in the college degrees they believe brought them to their current state. They have to defend it, they have to denigrate the uneducated, calling them dumb and themselves smart. I was struck by the New Yorker “election autopsy” article that was posted earlier today. Of those dozen or so authors, not one of them believed that the 7,638 times Harris called Trump a Nazi ever lost its effect, just like they never thought that calling him a racist 14,729 times ever eroded the impact of the name calling. In the end, that’s all they are, dirtbomb-throwers.
