The problem with the approach is after about 5-10 minutes there would be no hosts left on the show, they would all be ejected.

UPDATE:

Ejection seats are off. It was feared that a malfunction could hurl one of the hosts into the audience. Instead, the seat will tilt backwards dumping the host into a pool of flaming gasoline.

I guess listening to silence, or a test pattern would be more accurate and informative than the “ladies” of the view.
