How do I know that your body knows how to resolve this problem conclusively in each and every instance? Because every single animal on the planet does precisely that. They neither become wildly obese nor, except in the absence of available food, rail-thin and starve to death. They eat enough calories to maintain their weight within a reasonable range on an autonomous basis without conscious thought and every single animal does this, without exception, until and unless they get into human-processed foodstuffs. All of them do and always have. Further, the amount of seed oil any animal can consume without human intervention is in fact a statistical zero because they only exist in any sort of concentrated form due to human processing and thus no animal, of any species, ever consumed any material amount of them naturally.

Reasons?
I use one to heat coffee, to slightly melt cheese on something like a burrito shell and to cook some veggies like fresh or frozen broccoli, cauliflower and whole potatoes.
OK, I see your answer here. :)
Down 65 lbs in 4 years. 245 to 180.
I eat as little sugar as possible and I take it easy on the carbs.
Protein and fat are unlimited but I do count calories and keep that at about 2,000 per day.
I have a personal fitness chihuahua that motivates me to walk a mile or 2 a day with occasional sprints.
I lift weights daily. Low weight high reps to avoid injury.
Cutting out beer has been the equivalent of fasting a day a week.
bkmk
Great response, or was it full transcript of the article? I’ve lost 52 lbs from just cutting carbs by stopping the eating of processed foods and sugary things. It took me a year, and is still ongoing. I am losing about 1 lb a month now, I expect it to stop soon.
Anyone watch 600 lb lives? These are the same people who would be fat in pre Boomer times, supercharged by modern foods.
Freepers love to blame what rather than how much
It’s about eating too much
Plenty super fat people take in enough from sweet drinks alone to reach daily caloric needs
Some folks have higher metabolism which helps them but metabolism effect baring super high thyroid is a long process for effect
It still comes back don’t eat double or triple daily weight maintain need
Somebody eats 7000 calories of quinoa they will still get fat
Folks esp lower income just don’t care as much anymore and often are less active than before
Hmm
Thanks!
Peanut butter and instant oatmeal. I would not have known that.
That video starts out with saying that Canola oil is derived from the canola plant. But there is no canola plant.
The plant is actually called “rape”, and until Canada decided that rapeseed oil had a marketing problem that’s what it was called. Canola is an acronym for Canada Oil Low Acid. It’s a patented trademark owned by the Canadian Canola Council.
Canola oil has a high Omega 6 to Omega 3 ratio. I think that this is true of most seed oils, and that seems to be behind the claim that they are bad for you.
I don’t know if there is any proof that seed oils are actually harmful or if this is just another health food fad. It’s a recent obsession.
The “gut biome” is currently suspected of playing a role in obesity. Obesity may not just be due to caloric intake, but how gut bacteria process it.
https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC5082693/
“A link between obesity and the gut microbiota was initially suggested based on studies in germ-free mice. These mice are raised in a sterile environment and have no microorganisms in their gut. Conventionally reared mice have a 40% higher body fat content and 47% higher gonadal fat content than germ-free mice even though they consume less food than their germ-free counterparts.”
I think that there should be an emphasis on eating real food. Even something as simple as a sample generic diet, that if followed, would help. There has been a real loss on knowledge of nutrition that needs to be brought back.
‘That video starts out with saying that Canola oil is derived from the canola plant. But there is no canola plant.’
Wrong.
https://www.canolainfo.org/canola/where-does-canola-oil-come-from.php
“Where does canola oil come from?
Canola oil comes from the crushed seeds of the canola plant. Chttps://www.leafyoils.com/canola-oil-where-its-from-and-how-its-madeanola is part of the Brassicaceae family. Cabbages, broccoli and cauliflower are also part of this same botanical family.
https://www.leafyoils.com/canola-oil-where-its-from-and-how-its-made
“Canola oil comes from the seeds of the canola plant, which is cultivated across Canada, China, India and other countries for its oil. Through breeding and research over several decades, canola has been transformed from its origins as a subset of rapeseed into a nutritional oil that’s the second-largest vegetable oil by volume after palm oil.
Try again Ashley
I have no idea who “Ashley” is (your imaginary friend?) but I do know that Canola is nothing more than a hybridized and patented form of rapeseed. You might know that too if you spent less time on snark and more on learning. Well maybe you wouldn’t learn but others would-
“Canadian scientists used traditional plant breeding in the 1960s to practically eliminate two undesirable components of rapeseed — erucic acid from oil and glucosinolates from meal — to create “canola,” a contraction of “Canadian” and “ola.”

“Canola isn’t the name of any plant — so what exactly is it? We dive into the intriguing history of one of the world’s most popular cooking oils.”

So the the canola plant doesn’t exist in your universe contrary to the links supplied?
