I’m going to shock you!
I agree, we should not be in the business
of nation building.
We cannot even take care of ourselves.
That being said we need to keep an international
presence to watch over our interests.
As we learned in WW II isolationism does not work.
How is what we've done in Ukraine any different than what we need in Afghanistan or Iraq?
We essentially colonized the country so the Bidens, George Soros and BlackRock could work with corrupt oligarchs to get rich.
We couldn't have cared less that we had to back, fund and arm neo-Nazis. Or that we setoff a civil war and screwed over those in Donetsk, Lugansk and Crimea, who are ethnically or pro-Russian.
So, pretending the war in Ukraine is a result of Russian aggression is absurd. It WAS RESULT OF OUR MEDDLING, the same kind of meddling we did in Iraq.
We promised the Russians no eastward expansion of NATO in the early '90s and then installed a puppet government hostile to Moscow and that wanted to cutoff access to its only warm water naval base.
That blatant aggression on our and NATO's part.
Russia didn't have to be our enemy. We made the Russians our enemy and pushed them into an alliance with China. That was incredibly stupid.
