Putin sends a missile message to the West: 'Back off'

Vladimir Putin's hypersonic missile carried a simple message to the West over Ukraine: back off, and if you don't, Russia reserves the right to hit U.S. and British military facilities.

-snip-

"Putin is saying to the West stop - halt - back off," Sergei Markov, a former Kremlin adviser, told Reuters.

"The signal Putin is sending to the world is that we consider these strikes as the direct entry of the United States and Britain into a war against Russia," he said. "But we are not responding with all our might right now because these strikes against Russia will not change the outcome of the war."

A Russian source who spoke on condition of anonymity due to the sensitivity of the situation said Putin had hinted that he wanted to steer clear of escalation, though the odds of Russia using nuclear weapons remained pretty high.

The source did not clarify whether he was talking about tactical battlefield weapons or long-range nuclear missiles.

Nah…Putin’s bluffing. Let’s keep sending long range missiles right down the Ruskie’s hatch. Even if Putin isn’t bluffing, Ukraine is worth killing all of us!! Every last cent we borrow from China should be used in this endeavor!!!

If PDJT doesn’t get ahead of this, Biden’s going to touch off a nuclear war, and the entire thing will be blamed on him.

I actually think that’s the Democrat plan. I hope he sees that.

So what’s the response if a US facility is hit in Poland like the missile base? NATO would love to invade. The US would be a crucial part of it by agreement. Any invasion into Russia would escalate into a nuclear option by Putin.

Let’s say Putin gets what he wants. That’s a never-ending list. You give the bully your lunch money on Monday, you can forget about lunch until after you graduate. More importantly, if a nuclear bully can take whatever he wants, how long will it be before every state that can has nuclear weapons? For Sweden I’ve seen estimates of three months for deliverable weapons. For Finland the estimate is six months to a year. The smaller powers will beg, buy, borrow or steal nuclear weapons. One reason it’s best for everyone that this doesn’t happen is this. There’s a non-zero probability that someone with weapons will have an accident, lose one, or have one stolen. Building the weapon is not that hard. It’s a significant effort, but if North Korea can do it, other stronger economies that feel threatened can do it too. The smaller the country, the weaker the economy or the social structure, the higher the probability of some bad thing happening at some point. Multiply the number of players by, say, six and the probability of a really bad outcome within a hundred years or even fifty years goes WAY up.

There’s much more at risk here for the entire world than just Ukraine losing some territory. We tend to focus on the current day blood and bombs and fail to see what the future holds if Russia wins.

Putin is the one who needs to back off. The strikes in Russia are just blowback from his strikes in Ukraine.

This is just killing time until Trump shuts off funding flow.

It’s very clever because it is effective. It is generating all sorts of talk and meetings, and those eat time.

When Tulsi arrives, there is going to be an DC explosion when she makes clear just how much previous intel reports were all crap. It is at that moment when her risk of assassination will exceed Trump’s.

Oh, and somehow people are still quoting Trump warning Putin of anything at all. Both he and Putin have said there was no conversation saying anything.

That's a lie, Marcus.

There was never a phone call between Trump and Putin.

Putin sends a missile message to the West: 'Back off'

But, but, Marcus, you said Putin was finished, impotent, sick and Russian weapons are WWII shovels.

How could this happen?

Did your Zelensky and your Biden push false information into your bunker in the Rear?

This must be a huge butt hurt for you!

Your Putin is still mad about the Storm Shadow decapitation attack in Kursk two days ago. Tell him to chill.
