“Attacking American aircraft carriers would of course be a formal declaration of war against all NATO forces.”

You mean that would be “poking the bear”?

Putin is talking NOW as if he thinks WE are formally waging war against HIM.

We are backing up a thug to some corner. I don’t think the thug is going to permit the humiliation. We are saying to him “You’re our bitch. We’re going to assist your enemies right into your house and feck off if you don’t like it.” Why we werent so dismissive of the Russians in 1955 or 65 or 75 I can’t think but we’re doing it now. Maybe he can hang on until the Biden crazies are out but the Biden crazies may not permit that.

Thinking he is impotent because he can’t fire the nukes may be a monster mistake. If the nuclear deterrent is no longer operative as seems to be the case than there WILL be war in my view because the Russians can’t think of themselves as anybody’s bitch. Wars get started for stupid reasons and that’s as good a stupid reason as the best of them

Not poking anyone, it would be a formal declaration of war, a Pearl Harbor attack.

Don’t confuse Russia supplying weapons and clandestine troops to kill Americans in Korea and Vietnam with them launching a peacetime sneak attack on American carrier groups.
