Something I’d like to see....
Some math genius college football fanatic with time on his/her hands coming up with ranking criteria, then using end of the year stats ONLY to figure who comes out where using his/her system.
I would love to see how that compares...

For years there have been "computer rankings" for college football. In fact, during the BCS days, 1/3rd of the ranking formula came from a combination of already existing computer ranking scores. Perhaps the most popular computer ranking is
Jeff Sagarin's rankings. His goes into strength of schedule based on opponents, and the SOS of the opponents' opponents, etc.
