Huge Genesis fan- as you know. This album had its moments for me but overall i felt Gabriel’s work with Genesis was to constipated at times.

With Thanksgiving around the corner there is a bootleg from 40 or so years ago on Thanksgiving night of Genesis live at the Felt Forum in NYC available on youtube- as just about all bootlegs are...

I never saw Genesis but I did see Peter Gabriel as a solo artist.

I loved "Carpet Crawlers", "Riding the Scree" and "It" and still do, but I can't remember most of "Lamb" - some of what I do remember, like the Lamia song, makes me cringe. Don't get me wrong, I absolutely loved this album when I was a kid and still do, but the album had a lot of stuff in it.

"Selling England" is still my favorite Genesis album - shorter and much tighter.

Still have my vinyl album, with its near-mint condition jacket.

50 years, eh? Hard to believe...

Saw Genesis and Gabriel many times and loved them all...just didn’t see Gabriel play with Genesis but I think I’ve seen all the YT videos that there are available. As a concert, my preference were the Gabriel concerts but yes, I stopped watching and listening once his political inclinations were known.

Thank you for posting. Fantastic album.

ā€œSelling England By The Poundā€ is my personal favorite Genesis LP, but ā€œLambā€ is high on the list.
