Frightened celebrities are paying Sean “Diddy” Combs’ alleged victims to stay quiet, according to R&B singer Ray J, who suggested high-profile stars fear that their names will get leaked to the public.
“I’m hearing about artists paying victims to keep their names out of it,” Ray J told TMZ founder Harvey Levin in the first episode of the outlet’s documentary, The Downfall of Diddy: Inside the Freak-Offs, released on Tuesday.
“Here’s what I do know, people do catch-and-kills all day,” Ray J continued, explaining that a “catch-and-kill” refers to when “somebody has a truth, somebody pays you to keep it quiet, and hopefully that money you got paid secures your happiness while you watch the lie continue to succeed.”

Paying victims off to resolve potential civil lawsuits is completely separate from criminal prosecution’s.
Keep in mind that there is no financial benefit to waiting until after the criminal which could take years.
The victims’ first duty is to their clients. Getting very large settlements is in the victims interest.
The victims that get a settlement can still be deposed and forced to testify in a criminal trial.

Dallas megachurch pastor of The Potter’s House, Thomas Dexter (T.D.) Jakes, has been mentioned in a lawsuit that associates him with Sean “P. Diddy” Combs.
The lawsuit — filed by music producer for Combs’ Bad Boy records Rodney “Lil Rod” Jones — accuses Combs and several of his associates of participating in a “sex trafficking venture.”
The civil lawsuit, filed in U.S. federal court for the southern district of New York and obtained by USA TODAY on Monday, alleges that for more than a year, Combs sexually harassed, drugged and threatened Jones.

J. F. Kennedy was highly disturbed with the CIA for its incompetence and its having misled him on the probable success of the Bay of Pigs invasion in 1961. Perhaps the most famous alleged quote from Kennedy about his animus toward the CIA after the Bay of Pigs debacle was that he wanted “to splinter the CIA into a thousand pieces and scatter it to the winds.”
In fairness, not that any is deserved, the lifts were for a movie, to make DeNiro look taller than the similarly altitude challenged Pacino.
So it is legal to catch and kill in California and New York for actors but not for business men in New York? Ahhh, the hypocrisy… but they never care about scruples do they? /semi-satire.

Actor Corey Feldman has been black mailing someone for decades. Whenever he needs more money he pops up in the news and talks about what he and his friend went thru as child actors. It is rumored that Charlie Sheen is one who molested him. His friend Corey Haim died broke several years ago.
