As promised, here’s a pre vs post election breakdown.
The country collectively is about 53-55% Republican, as reflected in who they elect.
virtually no change despite a massive red wave.
Too many down ballot seats were stolen. We gotta get voting reform passed as priority #1.
US Senate post election is 53 Republicans.
“US Senate:
53 Democrats; 47 Republicans (53% Democrat, 47% Republican)”
??
““US Senate:
53 Democrats; 47 Republicans (53% Democrat, 47% Republican)””
Sorry, I changed the figures but not the descriptors.
Except for President and US Senate, there is really no change in the numbers.
That should concern all of us that Democrats are still a major force in US House, Governor, and State Legislature elections.
All politics is local and conservatives need to get conservatives elected to these offices.
From Citizens Free Press: Explains a lot of reasons for the 2024 results.
“””Steve Bannon: The Republican Party Did NOT Win This Election. Donald Trump WON”””
It should also be noted that Republicans won 80% of all counties in the US. This suggests the Democrats are concentrated in the cities and why the Democrats feel the middle of the US is a “fly-over” population area that doesn’t matter. This recent election proves they are wrong.
Thanks, Cotton, for these stats. I agree, that they are disappointing in view of President Trumps tremendous victory.
However, the stats can only reflect party affiliation. Hopefully not revealed, is that there has indeed been a sea change. That change had to occur first WITHIN the Republican Party. Ridding the GOP of RINO’s is a huge benefit to all of us. Certainly within the U.S. Senate and the U.S. House, we have rid ourselves of several strong RINO obstructionists. We might finally begin to enact and implement conservative programs.
Honestly, that's due to gerrymandering. We should get at least 20 more seats out of states like CA, IL, MA, NY and MD but they've made it so that its impossible for a Republican to win a district.
There’s a good chance that we’ll see a Dem or two jump ship in the House because the party has become too radicalized and has basically left them. Some Dem resp are probably looking at RFK and Tulsi and thinking that maybe there’s a better future for them in the GOP. JMHO
No, it wasn’t stolen.
There is a tremendous amount of gerrymandering at the federal and state level. Many states are gerrymandered to the max.
Out of 435 US House seats, there are only about 40 competitive seats to fight over. So, in a red wave, flipping seats will be limited.
Trump got just a tad over 50%, about 1.5% more than Kamala. It wasn’t a blowout or anything close to it. I realize that varies by state. If you take away CA and NY, it’s a different story, but they count, too.
So take CA, Kamala won by 22 points. Any competitive seat will favor the democrat and the same in NY, where Kamala won by 12%.
Good point re gerrymandering.
(BTW 29 year-old Republican Joe Picozzi’s victory against an incumbent in a Philadelphia district held by Democrats since 2001 was pretty impressive. Winning in in that kind of environment shows that young, energetic and determined Republicans can win despite the odds against them.)

In the WV legislature Rats are almost extinct!
In the state Senate GOP 32 Rats 2.
in the state House GOP 91 Rats 9.
Rats can barely fill a table at WV Eat-N-Park.
“””219 Republicans; 213 Democrats; 3 undecided (51% Republican, 49% Democrat)”””
In order to analyze the 2024 election results, here is one thing that needs to be done.
There are 435 US Congressional Districts. How many of those 435 districts was Trump the winner?
I keep looking for that data, but no luck so far.
Are the political parties intentionally hiding it?
Maybe double check the post election US Senate wording?
It think it’s republicans with 53….
