I want PEACE—a lasting Peace. No clear winner will be a win for all. Russia can’t just go home, nor can it seize Ukraine. A settlement must be reached or this will become a forever war that will last well into the next decade. It will limit Russia—but at a terrible cost. It will break NATO and America and might just devolve into WW III—a war of nations and this time our oceans will not protect us. This one we night lose to the new Axis. Even a win will be so costly it will forever change us and the world.
You want PEACE, as you emphasize, but everyone wants peace, only on their preferred terms. For all the blather about Ukraine being a “forever war,” the Russian economy is in trouble and likely to crack by the end of 2025. So why not keep Ukraine in the fight and wait for Russia to get desperate enough to agree to a peace on reasonable terms?
