The problem with progressives is their aggressive use of language. 99% of the book is very likely accurate, and James Lemen is *THE* one singular item that is found to be fraudulent.
This thread is about the book The Jefferson-Lemen Compact, by Willard C. MacNaul. The book is better titled as The Jefferson-Lemen Scam.
James Lemen is the one singular topic of the book. There was no compact, only forged documents presented by Lemen. There is no 99% accuracy when the central topic is a load of crap based on forged documents.
It is quite difficult to see the 99% accuracy in a book about a compact that never existed, unless one sees that author MacNaul accurately set forth what Lemen falsely claimed. The problem was that Lemen's claims were nothing more than a fabulous bullcrap story based on a pile of forged documents.
