Another cringeworthy, sanctimonious, crap song.
Thank you for linking that… it was great…
Sugar stick? “customize it”
Not sure what that means but I understand it was a song artificially produced to be a commercial hit for the masses.
Good one. I always liked Styx. The kids are really good in this.
Just like early Genesis - amazing creative prog rock, and then the 1980s gave us Phil Collins and the popification of the band.

I love early Genesis too. It took me a couple of years to appreciate Lamb, the story of Rael, a lost sheep guided by Brother John. If not for his divorce, Phil Collins most likely would not have written all of those hits.
Abacab is not bad, ~4:40. Wish the guitar solo was longer, Mike Rutherford (Mike and the Mechanics). Then, Peter Gabriel, So/Us. So much talent.

Wow I just saw that video with Tommy Shaw and the orchestra for the very first time yesterday! Absolutely awesome!!!
Magnificent!
That is purely awesome - thanks for posting that!!!
Thanks for sharing!
Suit yourself. Mr Roboto is now recognized as a prophetic song that was way ahead of its time.
The official video on Youtube has 37 millions views. So it is not exactly a dud.
During college, my friend won 17th row center tickets to a Phil Collins concert. I felt bad that I fell asleep during the concert. She was obviously unhappy with me. So it goes.
Hah. We both might have been at the same concert, for the same reason, with the same reaction. They literally played nothing from early Genesis.
You want early Genesis, go see Steve Hackett. I saw him last year, and he did the entire Foxtrot album.
Minus “Please Don’t Ask”, Duke is a fantastic album. Heathaze is one of my favorite Genesis songs.
Mr Robot may be the worst damn thing I ever heard. For some reason the teens back in 1983 seemed to like it. We Built This City is Won’t Get Fooled Again compared to it.
In any event I wouldn’t mind having had a song everyone hates be a big hit.
To think Paul did an even worse Christmas song than John’s “Merry Xmas (War is Over)”
Prairie Prince played on XTC’s Skylarking album, which Todd produced.
Love that. 👍
Prairie right.
Nice.
