I know this might sound odd.....but there is work for those willing to work and especially those not to proud to ‘start near the bottom’. Linkedin is a good place to go look, be open minded. There are so many ‘young’ and useless people out there, that a good work ethic and flexibility will be rewarded.
I second the comment about the young/Gen Z worker, at least in the accounting field. I don’t know what they’re taught at college, but it’s not accounting. I was handed a set of books that hadn’t been reconciled in 20 months. After reconciling, I went from 3 intercompany accounts to 10. It was a mess.
