There was an obvious attempt to install fascism by prosecuting their political opponents for charges people really didn’t understand. A sexual assault based on a crime show episode by a woman who accused multiple high-profile people. A vague real estate law only used one person. A strange election thing. Most people saw right through it. If you are going to use fascism, you need to at least attempt to hide it or use laws people understand.
Like Pelosi and insider trading. Menendez and bribes. A guy in drag stealing luggage.

Not sure if by “strange election thing” you meant J6. But there are so many accounts of folks being read a long list of charges that they would be tried on.
