There was no "Deep State coup." The Ukrainian people rose up against Yanukovych after he betrayed them and was attempting to had Ukraine over to Russia. The CIA is not this all-powerful boogeyman that could motivate such crowds.
As for the offensive into Donetsk and Luhansk, I do not think that Trump would have objected to Ukraine reestablishing its control over its territory that had been seized by Russia. Ukraine was not attacking another country but trying to drive out a foreign occupation and reestablish its proper sovereign control.
It was a classic color revolution by the CIA.
The people of Donetsk, Lugansk and Crimea ALL, overwhelmingly, voted for Yanukovych. They were under no obligation to remain part of a government formed illegally.
And, they aren't going back to being part of Ukraine.
Ukraine either lets the annexed territory go or Ukraine will cease to exist.
