There are lots of items that are "on sale" at substantial discounts. But prices went up so much that the "sale" price turns out to be the same as the list price from last month.
That game has become tiresome.
I must say that gasoline has gotten much cheaper. It is below $3.00 per gallon now. Perhaps there is less commuter traffic? There have been a number of layoffs from large-sized businesses, and I see "For Lease" signs in every retail complex. Several restaurants where I once dined have closed.
House prices remain high and the asking prices have not come down. Time-to-sell has substantially increased, beyond 60 days.

Well they do come and go. Some
