Most of the competent colonels and lieutenant colonels have moved on and gone away. Who will Trump replace the DIE general officers with?

My son is not a field grade officer yet. (Air Force) He says there are still patriots, or at least in the Air Force, that will be ready to step up to the plate. He participated in an air exercise recently, including USAF, USA, USMC, and USN, along with Air Forces from Canada, UK, Australia and New Zealand. He met good people everywhere. I am convinced Trump can turn this around. Let’s hope for the best. 👍

The issue isn't really the captains and majors, who still need to command their battalions and brigades. The problem is the immediate future. Wormuth went scorched earth on the senior officers who were eligible for retirement. There's nobody left on the bench to replace the DIE generals, except other DIE colonels.
