The Army is only as good as the leaders that lead it. It seems that our leadership now is only worried about how many trannies and hommos they can get to enlist, and not how to fight. This will change in the next 8 years.
I look back at my development: in less than 6 months, I went from a bumbling butterbar to a young officer adept and professional in tactical evaluations. Most of that development came thanks to my Platoon Sergeants, all of whom had at least one tour in Vietnam. The rest of it was from being there, learning what I could get away with, and what not to do.
You have to let those lieutenants step on their Johnsons without fear, that’s how I learned, drill into them the definition of a leader, who takes personal responsibility for everything his unit does or FAILS TO DO.
