Those are troops and matériel which now can no longer be used to threaten the democracies of Europe.

The hundreds of thousands of U.S. troops stationed in Europe are now safer because of this.

Of course, it is regretful that Ukraine likely also sustained considerable casualties and equipment-losses due to these efforts.

But the two nuclear powers now actively attacking a peaceful European country are, at least, being made to pay for their criminal adventurism.

Apparently, Putin is free to invite as many of his tin-pot dictator buddies to "join in on the fun" in attacking Europe as he pleases - but the Western powers are still requiring Ukraine to fight with one arm tied behind her back.
