Today, here is an ice axe story. When was the last time you read about that term? As in never?Ice axes are a common tool where I am.
Used for ice climbing. I have one.
I also have several sets of crampons for different ice conditions and terrain. Spikes on the crampons from 1/8 inch to 2 inches long.

Same here. I have several ice axes and sets of crampons. I used to live outside Seattle (Duval) and climbed up in the Cascades. Loved that backcountry.
