Apparently they are...This may be more of a move to strengthen the Senate than find appointees for positions.
But DeSantis is doing the appointing and he is a Bush republican. Perhaps DeSantis can be counted on in this instance. I don’t know. I’d recommend Kari Lake if she loses in AZ.
