Peace and safety, then all hell breaks out.
I remember sitting in church one morning and the pastor saying he could prophecy. It got my attention for a variety of reasons and my ears leaned forward.
To summarize his point, one of the aspects of prophesizing was, “if you keep doing what you are doing, something bad will happen to you.”
With that, he said, we should all be out in the world prophesizing:
IF YOU KEEP DOING WHAT YOU ARE DOING, SOMETHING BAD WILL HAPPEN TO YOU.
A point of further reflection. Are they any sermons that stuck in your ears?
Nothing much will change. Look at what happened during Josiah’s reign in Judah. Yeah, they may have had a brief respite, but the prophetical timetable (from God’s perspective) will not alter, change or slow down.

Even the godliest of us view life through basic presuppositions. Dispensational premillennialism is a hard one to bounce back from. David Wilkerson’s radar was sharply tuned to hear the negative components of God’s perspective on the day — but it was also tuned in such a way as to filter out the positive side, the solutions. Wilkerson had a powerful ministry — but no vision for the future. Struggled with terrible depression. And finally drove in front of a lumber truck with his seatbelt unfastened.
His unconscious commitment to the failure of the Gospel led him to sell the Teen Challenge ranch, for a pittance, to a ministry that DID “expect great things from God” and “attempt great things for God” — Youth With A Mission. YWAM’s founder, Loren Cunningham, was also an AoG minister. But one who did NOT summon men to battle by first conceding the war. Who did NOT peddle that doom ‘n’ gloom snake oil of “Christian” despair.
And for all his God-attuned heart, Brother David overlooked the powerful reformation that began in the early 1980’s, and is going stronger than ever today. God will not be without a witness. He will always have a remnant. Although some of us wail our jeremiads to uncaring audiences, most of us are called to pour our attentions into our families and callings. To raise, in Rick Boyer’s words, a “self-perpetuating godly generation.”
Yes, God’s judgement is in operation. So, too, however, is His grace. And I believe that, if we pay attention to our Bibles and our assigned tasks, God will guide us through.
I believe we are in the last days. I believe Jesus will come for his church sometime before the end of this century. (Wow, what a century).
I believe before He comes for us,
1) The Gospel of the Grace of Christ will be restored among believers (Jude 3). I believe America will be part of that world-wide restoration.
2) Because of the widespread restoration of the gospel of grace, there will be a worldwide incoming of souls to Jesus (Luke 14:13) - true revival). I believe America will be part of that world-wide revival.
3) The temple in Jerusalem will be rebuilt and the old covenant sacrifice revived - (false revival but preparation of Israel to come to the true Messiah, Jesus, during the tribulation) (Matt. 24:15; Dan. 9:27; Rev. Chapt. 7).
Kamala was certainly no American’s hero. Her ideas (if they WERE her’s & not Joe’s) were never the pride of any real American. Good riddance to them. We have a real American president now.
