“Does any one know where the love of God goes
When the waves turn the minutes to hours?”
Been there. Off the coast of Nova Scotia on an ice breaker in an 8 hr storm, out ship being slammed with waves 20+ feet. I remember losing consciousness, knowing I was going to the bottom of the ocean and would never wake up. Of course, I did wake up and had sea sickness the entire trip to the NC coast. I won’t go out in the ocean again.
This song makes me cry. They knew what was coming.
Having gone through winter sea survial training in Alaska while in the Coast Guard, jumping into 20 degree water in dungrees, this song makes me shiver. We were told while patrolling the Baron Sea that if we fell overboard the ship woud turn around and try to retrive our body. BRRRRR!
WOW!! What an experience!
Glad you’re still with us.
Those words have to be some of the most haunting words ever sung.
