Rogers was not appealing. I didn’t vote for him in the primaries, and held my nose as I filled out my absentee ballot. Looking into his life, and government service, he did time four years (1985-1989) in the Army, went into the FBI (1989-1994), MI State Senate (1994-1998), then US House of Reps (2001-2015). In October of 2020 he was on Guy Gordon’s show on WJR, talking about the Whitmer kidnapping plot; he talked nice, generic game about extremism and anti-government sentiment, not once mentioning some of the despotic crap Governor Whitmer pulled a few months prior.

Rogers spent the majority of his adult like in government, and was seeking another government job. He was also part of the FBI, and I can’t say I really trust the FBI, or former agents. When it came down to the 2024 election is was a former FBI agent (Rogers) vs. Elissa Slotkin, who after grad school was recruited into the CIA. Fed vs. a Spook, and it looks like the Spook won it. Two parasites with lives lived in government. Whether it’s shenanigans, or it’s legit, Rogers didn’t exactly fit the bill of someone who would be fully onboard with shrinking the size and scope of government. I will admit I have yet to do a deep dive on the man’s voting record.

Do either of you guys understand how the US Senate works?

The DemoCommies certainly do.

And none of those are even kind of good reasons for letting a wannabe KGB enforcer like Slotkin anywhere near the Senate of the United States.

The only thing that matters is how these people vote in the Senate.

Why can’t people get that through their thick skulls?
