Michigan is one of the rare straight-ticket states.
Think about the implications of that.
My brother didn't trust them and voted each (Rep) candidate.
This is nothing new, Wayne county returns have been like this for decades. I watched it all night, while 95% of the rest of MI counties had 95% to 98% counted, Wayne county stayed at 55%...then the Detroit dump at around 5AM and it was 90% dem. Rogers started(like John James before him, and others)with 100k+ lead around midnight. It was down to 22k around 7AM when I fell out, when I woke up at 10AM she was up by 1k.
One glitch/other I noticed while watching, and I cannot remember what time(during the dump), but the est. remaining vote went from 207,000 to over 300,000...again maybe a temporary glitch, I don't remember if it was corrected or not.
One can accept the fact that urban areas are larger population centers, and therefore require longer to count, one can also speculate that they hold their vote count back until they see the deficit and act accordingly.
Just because you can vote straight ticket with one selection doesn’t mean that everyone does. For all we know there are a lot of Jewish Democrats in Michigan who flipped to Trump but decided to vote for Jewish D Slotkin.
