This is the most rational explanation for how Chauvin might have contributed to his death, that I have heard to date. But it is speculative, and ignores the fact he had several times the lethal dose of fentanyl necessary to kill a man.
Even when it was obvious that Floyd was gone, Chauvin and company continued restraining him.
Chauvin died after he was taken by the medical people. He didn't die while Chauvin had him on the ground.
But anyway, you see what happened in such a way as to conform to what you want to believe. You ignore evidence to the contrary.
This is actually normal for most people. Most people just want to reinforce their initial judgements, and few people want to actually question their own conclusions.
Neither you or I have any influence on this issue, so I guess it doesn't really matter what we think.
It's academic.

Yes, but one side usually has all the facts on their side which is justification enough for their beleif. I think in this case, all the evidence shows that no, Chauvin did not compress Floyd’s neck anywhere near enough to cause even the slightest air deprivation, and wasn’t the cause of Floyd’s heart failure in any way shape or form. A knee on the back or efen on the neck will not bring on heart failure u less the person being restrained is fighting, and in that case, their death is on them, not on the officers who did their job by the book. The cops calling the paramedics ruls put any negligent homicide charges.
