In many cases women could vote, given what state they lived in and if they owned property.

Whats funny is these women never say anything about the large percentage of men who couldn’t vote because they didn’t own property.

Voting was tied to property ownership. Because these people had skin in the game, they had stuff that likely would be used as reasons to collect taxes, if taxes were needed.
