Amish turn out for Pennsylvania vote in ‘unprecedented numbers’: source

Republicans could see a boost in Pennsylvania from a demographic rarely seen at the polls: the Amish.

The state’s famed “Pennsylvania Dutch” registered to vote in “unprecedented numbers” in response to a January federal raid on a local raw milk farm in Bird in Hand, Pa., a source familiar with the situation told The Post.

The Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture stormed Amos Miller’s farm Jan. 4 after reports of illnesses in children linked to raw dairy products purchased there, according to the local media outlet Lancaster Farming.

The Amish community saw the move as an overzealous reach by the government and was planning to vote for GOP presidential candidate Donald Trump, whose party favors less government intervention.

Knowing how the Left works, keep a watch. Because the Amish community could be singled out to be "punished" once the Left thinks no one is watching, or they think no one can do anything about it.

Just an example from one commenter:

The purpose of the Rules and The Regulations is to keep everyone safe. Why do so many people in America not understand that. Repeat this is a dangerous world without OSHA, FDA, CDC, the TSA, DEA, ATF&E, FAA, etc. Quit being Stupid and Dumb.

Ok. Enough eeyore posting.

Last I heard Trump was putting Massie in charge of Agriculture.

Amish will be safe, at least for now.

I think that case Viva and Barnes discuss about the food sold by the farmer also raised an issue with the Amish. Plus experience tells me Libs do not honor others’ believes and life style. The Karen party has to stick their nose in EVERYTHING!

In fact I suggest Dana White start a Karen League! You know, Karen versus Karen tonight! They could even hire that announcer, “are we ready to Karen tonight?”.

The Amish are all about what the GOP should be all about:

1. Self reliance, not reliance on the government.

2. Minimalist government that stays out of the way instead of bullying in as a cultural warrior telling folks what to think, what to value, what to believe.

I did not know anything about Scott Presler until immediately after the election on election night. He and his team are reportedly responsible for getting 180k Amish registered?! Wow if true.

"I did not know anything about Scott Presler until immediately after the election on election night."

I was aware of him in the 2022 runup. He was pleading for help from the RNC under Ronna ROMNEY McDaniel and got nothing. After Ronna got ousted, he was given a lot of support in 2024. He deserves a lot of thanks for his work.

since the real Amish came out for Trump, quit calling black people “Amish” as code.
Call ‘em Canadians instead. Or just “blacks” as that’s what they are.

It is a brave new world when a long-haired gay man recruits the Amish to vote. Bless him.

I think you are missing the joke when people bring up “Amish”.

It’s like calling a fat guy “tiny” or a short guy “stretch”.

When FR posters are predicting who was responsible for a crime, they are guessing the LEAST likely group as a JOKE.

“It was probably the Amish again.”

I met him, and he is very impressive.

Smart, high energy, striving to use every second of every day to get stuff done for Trump (and he was NOT getting much sleep the week leading up to Election Day)

I like him a lot. Trump should keep using his talents.

Those 180,000 Amish were the margin of victory, delivering PA for Trump.

Trump won PA by just 130k
