It’s worse than that. NATO doesn’t have enough trained troops and materiel to invade Ukraine. NATO is all talk. Ukraine is shrinking faster by the day now. Ukraine supply lines are being cut, very bad news for the troops.

Depends on how much they are following what’s going on, and who they follow. Except for the diehards and paid agents, who will simply disappear at some point. Russia is adding 25,000 troops a month, and they are volunteering, unlike the Ukraine conscription/desertion situation. Russia has more troops than when the conflict started and has just begun to fight a “war” rather than a limited “special military action”. Putin sees the opening and going to drive right through it. He will have his buffer, and it will be as large as he likes.
