My neighbor’s daughter found a bunch of abandoned kittens and took them in to save. She petted them, hugged, them snuggled them and generally loved them as any kind young girl would do. Then she broke out with the worst case of ring worm the doctor that treated her had ever seen. It was all over her face, chest, arms, and stomach. It took awhile but she got over it. Poor girl!

Cats are a common vector for ringworm.

When I was in college living in a private apartment, a stray cat captured my heart and I took her in during a very cold snap. She was a beautiful ragdoll breed and very snuggly. She would sleep across my neck at night while I slept.

Took her to the vet and her ears lit up like Christmas trees when the vet put a black light to her. He asked if I was in contact and I showed him a small rash spot on my neck. Tinactin cleared it up quickly.
