My son in law had his removed with a laser. Not fun. Not cheap.

Very expensive, painful and long process.
Laser stream aimed on the tattoo will bread the paint and disperse it into the body.
Part get absorbed by the body, part stays.
So you need many painful sessions (the thing burns your skin), and usually you will still end up with some stains on the skin.

You can also use the old method, surgically removing the skin. That may leave scars.

Tattoo removal is a lot more painful and expensive that tattoo application. You should still think before getting tattoo!
