Cannonball on the 1961 TV Series Jazz Casual . Joe Zawinul of future Weather Report fame on piano . Can one imagine any modern day " rap artist " speaking as articulately as Cannonball does from the 5:00 to 10:00 minute mark ? Take me back !

Wow one of.my all time favorite albums. Still have it although we haven’t had a turntable in over 20 years.
Here's a funny story about how dumb most people are (culturaly). I used to work at an insurance office and I heard on the car radio that he died. I told one of the adjusters ‘Cannonball Adderley died’ and she said...’Is he insured with us?’
I love Cannonball, especially his live recordings. Although he does mention his preacher in Chicago, the Rev Jesse Jackson. That bothers me a little bit.
