Yes, sir, I was thinking tonight with one of my sons that tariffs are punitive against other nations, and generally can’t last forever if those nations adjust their production economy, and can come back with some measurable effort to fairer compliance in trade.
Also, the US boot on the necks of lesser powers has awakened a few of us as being applied to many places for power and profit. Those ill gotten profits could have decreased the taxation/USERY against Americans. (It was not.) UKR for examples of coup, used for nefarious assets, NATO expansion and Proxy war— all in the name of crushing Russia .. deemed a “national security threat” to Europe and us.
We will find out the expanse of our belligerence, I think.
Behind the scenes Putin is likely very happy Trump won. He has an ally again against the New World Order demons. They both want every country to be strong and thriving. Russia just picks weird allies because, well, it’s Russia.
I’m betting the Ukraine war will be settled before Trump’s first day, just like he said.
As far as tariffs, they work when done right. Trump knows how to do them right and get the right result.
