Now why would President Trump want to skip the FBI investigation of his appointees?

Perhaps because EVERY FBI employee is subject to having their own security clearances taken away, along with their jobs, retirements, and freedoms.

They have shown themselves to all be a huge corrupted nest of vipers.

Throw the deep state in Gitmo, then set it on fire.

I would trust someone randomly picked from a phone book than I would the FBI.

Maybe true. FBI vetting will surely produce fake reports in order to eliminate effective appointees in favor of Party people who will be skilled at slowing down or killing his programs.

I would not trust any FBI personnel who work the Washington Field Office nor the Hoover Building. Not even the janitors.

He could hire a private team to vette them. It’s got to be better than letting the FBI getting their mitts on them

So, his ‘advisers’ recommend that Trump do exactly like every Democrat pResident has done since Clinton.

And the NYT is firmly opposed.

The FBI should vet them, but Trump should review any rejected and determine if the reason is legitimate

Not with the FBI’s history of holding back information. I wouldn’t trust them at all.

Is it only DOJ that the FBI checks?
I thought DoD used its own agency for background checks...maybe it’s different now.

Not only should DJTdo his own vetting, he should immediately start revoking hundreds, if not thousands of existing security clearances . . .
