Does anyone know: Are police trained to shoot anyone with an Armalite, no matter what they are doing?
Ruh Roh! I could be in trouble then.
Probably clear to fire.
The media will back them up.
far as I know, Californians are not allowed to possess AR rifles.
Don’t know, but the original story says him mom had called police and said he was having a mental breakdown and he wanted police to kill him. Suicide by police?
So, they obliged. How nice of them. Personally, I never want to do something people are manipulating me into doing.
If the gun is bad, train them to SHOOT THE GUN./s
it reduces the moral ambiguity in the situation.
Sounds like my town.
Except I live in a small town on an island in Alaska and everyone goes armed, especially this time of year, because we have bears...but damn few criminals.
Did I mention there is no way to get here (Or leave) without a boat or an airplane?
It is a bit inconvenient at times. But you have to admit: It's about safe as it gets.
Carmel?? Or Carmel -By-The-Sea?? Article didn’t say
Suicide by cop is pretty selfish. Most cops aren’t predisposed to killing someone and can be severely traumatized by it. Just go in the yard and eat your gun.
What a crappy article, typical of the low-standards of especially local TV journalism.
It really said nothing except “guy walking around with a gun” and a bunch of emotive nonsense.
One had to explore others links and sources to find out even the basics of what happened.
Suicide by police?
It’s Carmel-By-The-Sea, but usually local news just calls it Carmel.
Not true, you can legally buy and own AR's in California.
Agreed, the article seems like it was written by an semi literate 5th grader and all the important info is missing. It was so poorly done I didn’t want to continue after reading the excerpt.
That’s the former mayor of Carmel.
