Great song.

Coffey introduced another Motown guitarist to the effect pedal, and it became part of his nickname: Wah Wah Watson.

Scorpio is a good example of it. Sadly, it wasn't released on Motown, but it was one of the few songs by a white artist to make Soul Town in those days.

There would be no Motown hits without the Funk Brothers.

Perhaps the best studio band in the biz (and there many great ones eg Swampers, Wrecking Crew. Nashville’s A team, Memphis horns........)
