Lifelong Cardinals fan. Last time I watched an entire game, was 2018. The new rules (DH in NL, man on 2nd to start extra innings) completely killed what little was left of my interest. Not to mention 4 1/2 hr games, endless playoffs, interleague play, and November World Series games. A pox on their house.

I stopped watching baseball during the strike.
To everyone who objects to this thread, the World Series, baseball, or professional sports in general, it is duly noted. But,
1. Some of us still harbor pleasant memories of the World Series and sports in general.
2. Watch or don't watch. It's your life and your time. Go forth and live your life as you see fit.
3. Baseball has always been better than the people who own it, play it, or present it on TV. That's the way I feel. Again, if you don't like it, fine. I can't watch 15 seconds of NASCAR. Doesn't mean it has no value, just none to me.
4. The finances of this, or any other sport have no relevance to me (other than the price of a ticket to the event). Neither do the personal or political lives of the participants. If Mickey Mantle had been a communist, I would still regard him as one of the greatest players to ever put on a uniform. Same goes for movies, music, books.... I throw it into the mix when I decide to devote my idle time to something, but, here, baseball, at least for me, transcends that.
5. I know this is (largely) a political site, and, I cannot expect politics to vanish. But we are a "Free Republic". You do you, and I will do me. Freedom. That said, if you need to criticize something, criticize away. It's your dime.
