The x64 means 64 bit (which pretty much all PCs and Macs are today).
The .zip, and .7z are archive types;
A computer archive is when files are all stored into 1 (or sometimes more, but 1 in this case) file that needs to be extracted before you can run (or use) it.
The .dmg is a file that is mountable (like a CD or DVD) made specifically for/from Apple as installation software.
So, I believe the .dmg would be a native file, and the other 2 would be able to be un-archived to run and install FreeTube as long as you have the proper software to use them.
I’ve never used MacOs, so I have never used any of them on a Mac.
Since /dmg is native to MacOs, I would think it would be the best bet to use, and it should be recognized.
I have seen the same issue when trying to get a URL to a pic (or to save the pic).
There is a simple way around that, but not so simple finding what you are looking for.. view the page source.
But it turns into looking for a needle in a haystack, lol.
"I know yahoo search will do that- you highlight the link, then go to copy it, and it disappears. What I found was that if I highlight it, then press ctrl plus c, it will copy it"
I thank you very kindly for your clear explanation, Bikkuri, and look forward to trying it out this weekend!
Thank you for posting—it is funny.
LOL- it’s in foreign letters- “Page Up” i believe it’s called
If you use control-a then control-c to copy, this will possibly apply.
If you are selecting text and then right clicking your mouse on the text and choosing copy, this will NOT be the problem.
This does happen, though:
You could have a key on your keyboard that I stuck, maybe intermittently.
Check the right and left control keys for sticking. Clean them it they have something on then. They can also have a weak spring etc. Not everything is a problem in the operating system or browser. I have over the years had this come up enough and went looking at the operating system for the fix, when it was a sticky key. Now I know to also check the keyboard.
A bad right mouse button can also cause issues. Also can be intermittent.
(Of course I might drool on my left control key more than you!)
On Brave browser if you right click LINKS to copy, be sure to choose “copy clean link” instead of only “copy” in case there is something weird on link formatting. The should not be the case on FR links as they are already clean and simple.
If you are clicking in the browser where you TYPE or paste URLs, that could be the keyboard issue. It may be wiping out the text when you try to control-c.
I know this may not be the answer but just in case, hope you get it working.

No problem at all ;)
And let us know how the installation (and FreeTube) goes :)
Thank you
Brave just dropped an update this morning to fix the inability to copy urls.

Ah. A bit of knowledge bias here.
Updates are always the next step.
(conflicts are the absolute worst)
I’m a bit curious as to how the problem manifested (brave programmers’ screw-up or whatever), but not curious enough to go down a dead-end bunny hole.
Glad it’s resolved and thanks for posting back!
Seemed to be a programming screw up on an update which also was to include an update of the address bar.
Ah.
Then my gut was probably correct:
“Outsourcing.” /s
