I hope Cheney keeps telling Harris this nonsense, because I think Harris is making some in her own base very uncomfortable by embracing the neo-cons. There are always a few percent of disaffected Republicans, but Trump will not lose more of the GOP vote than is typical for a Republican nominee. Harris seems to believe Cheney, though, and it’s causing her to make some real missteps: turning an opportunity on Fox News into a “hate Trump” fest, alienating her anti-war base, revving up the Republican base who hates Liz Cheney, embracing neo-conservatism when most Americans have rejected it, etc.
(By the way, anyone who wants to volunteer to write letters to get out the conservative Christian vote at https://www.myfaithvotes.org/ should sign up now, since they prefer the letters to be mailed by Friday.)
Agreed—the Cheney name inflames lefties of all kinds.
This is a stunningly dumb move by the Harris campaign.
