Our tour business’s competition heavily fakes reviews.

Amazon reviews might clean up?Maybe. I guess this law might put a damper on things like the Three Wolf Moon Shirt reviews on Amazon. Those were hilarious. So were the sugarless Haribo gummy bear reviews.

I don’t see this holding up to Constitutional scrutiny.

Always dump the 5 star and 1 start and you’ll be OK.

Not really. The Supreme Court has long granted the government broad powers in regulating commercial speech.
To: Olog-hai
Absolutely none of the government’s business.

Ahhh...sorta like the “do not call” list...and probably as effective.

Unless it is a spam, how do they know it’s as fake as Kemala Harris’ campaign?

Imagine if fake reviews of political speech were banned. The MSM would have nothing to do except report actually news

So move your fake review operation out of the US. No way for the US to enforce.

I wish they’d add fake product descriptions to the list of do-not’s.
I really dislike buying on line as I’m the type that likes to see it, touch it and figure out if it’s worth the money before buying. And if bought locally returns are as simple as taking it back and getting an instant refund.
I’ve been screwed too many times by online buying.

Isn’t this why there was the good housekeeping seal years ago?
And consumer reports...
To: Olog-hai
That’ll be as effective as their do not call registry.
