Puck?
Return them. I’ve had excellent luck with “no name” ones I got from Amazon.

“...moldy canning lids...”
-
Weren’t they a 70’s rock group?
The mold had a brand name?
“After I was born they threw away the mold. But some of it grew back.”
- Emo Philips
Is this yet another company squandering good will for the $$$, or just a fluke?
Are you not allowed to use the ‘B’ word here, when it’s a product sold to the public?
It’s not slander if that was your actual experience.
Call or write the company. You’ll probably get replacements.
I got around $50 of product replacements recently for contacting the company and explaining the situation.
Premature failure of Ray O Vac batteries with a 10 year warranty.
Hole in a SmartWool sock that isn’t that old. And the hole is near the top of the sock, not in the toes, sole or heel.
Sent them photos of both failure and got vouchers for replacements.
Obviously not the health hazard of canning lids, but good company support and making good on bad products. PS - I didn’t have receipts for either of them and the socks are out of the two year warranty.
Pelota?
Were you storing these moldy canning lids in your dark, damp basement?
Kind of funny...With canning you want to hear “tink”. With welding you hate to hear “tink”.
What did the company have to say about it?
And thanks for the warning.
I haven’t had a problem yet.
Ping of possible interest to preppers.
Spalding?
Shipped from the company directly?!?
You got a bad batch. Probably old stock.
They sell tens of millions of those things every year. You should contact the company and give them the information from the packaging. They should be able to track it down, and give you a replacement/refund.
They have been doing this for more than 100 years.
